We brought together the digital tools that pros really use and rendered them in a sculpture that?s seduced by the shape of your wrist. O Matter safeguards the instrument against 100-meter water submergence while armoring it with impact protection. A scratch resistant crystal protects the biggest, brightest display in digital timekeeping. The readout is tuned with user-adjustable contrast and electroluminescent backlighting for low light conditions. For all-day comfort, the strap is pure Unobtainium. A proprietary software engine logs 50 separate runs and stores 100 lap times, lap numbers, split times and the fastest lap time. Two separate time zones can be displayed simultaneously. Additional features include three programmable alarms and three multi-function countdown timers.

Another update-swam in about 2 feet of water and the watch died. JUST called Oakley and am going to send it in. They did say that, because the watch is older, they don't have extra parts...

Update from last year's post:

Since I've gotten the D2, I've also gotten the Crankcase, GMT, Judge, and Crush 2.0. However, the D2 is still my "go-to" watch for sports and work (firefighter/fire safety inspector). I also wore it while going through the firefighter academy. It held up like a champ! To replace the strap is about $22.50. Mine was tearing when I got it, though. Anyway, mine was covered in sweat, pounded with water, and abused to the limits. It's still running like a champ! I got my girlfriend the smaller version and she loves it. She is using hers while doing biology research in the rainforest. It's holding up very well.

The D2 is light, has a lot of features, and is rugged. I'd suggest it for anyone wanting a sporty digital watch. Good for sports events, tactical situations, or just an everyday wearer.

I just picked up one from a friend. This watch feels very average to me. Contrary to other posts, I found this watch very counter-intuitive. The center button on the face could have been removed completely, as it only functions as holding a button on another watch might. It's an extra step.

However, it is very comfortable. It's one of the few watches I can wear while asleep. I'll "notice" others during tossing and turning. I appreciate the size of the face and its readability. I also like how the light only lights up the numerals, and not the entire face like other watches might. If you can get one for under $50, go for it. Unfortunately, this is one of the very few Oakley products which I believe is not worth the price.

Just got a Black/Black, today. Very sporty style and almost weightless. Tons of features and can be overwhelming, at first. Great watch!

Great sports watch. A lot of options/settings. You can beat the crap outta of it. I swam with dolphins with mine. The styling resembles a Blade, which is pretty sweet.
