This bag was a must-have for my collection as I'm a big fan of the Red Shift / Soviet style and asthetic. The bag looks fantastic.

Functionally, it does its job fairly well. It has a lot of extra pockets and space..

I do however have to agree with the other opinions on the strap. I LOVE how it looks, unfortunately, the little pull strap on its release unthreads very easily and was nearly lost on a trip.

I also wish the external 3 pockets were real buckles (they are faux buckles) instead of velcro. Dont put anything valuable in those.

Personally, I like this bag, although I will agree that having the strap removable on one side and not on the other is a bit of a pain. I like the color and the overall design. I use it as a carryon whenever I fly, and it definitely gets attention. For its size, it can hold quite a bit.
One warning I will offer to anyone who has this bag, the spring pin on the strap is actually two pieces, and one threads into the other. If the threads get loose, the two pieces can come apart rather easily, and then the pin won't even stay in (especially if you lose the spring). Just a heads-up...I put a bit of threadlocker on mine to ensure it stays together!

I like this bag. Again, glad I didn't pay retail as it's not the most functional, but it does have it's good points. First, gotta agree with Dwcfastice about the strap. Who makes a strap that can't come off? The idiocy. I travel with this bag, so it's an extra concern. And while it hasn't failed yet, that spring pin could have used a stronger spring in there. Also, very few ways top lock it if traveling airborne.

Now the good points. It's distinctive, durable, and has a lot of room for it's size. There are interesting end-pockets which hold a surprising amount. The spring pin is a really cool over the top touch that was a huge selling point. The outside pockets are nice to hold a few small things. East to carry, easy to access. There's an oddly curious zippered compartment on the bottom that can hold...film? I keep a screwdriver & flashlight in there. There is also a zippered compartment on the backside which is great for travel documents or other stuff that needs to stay flat. Inside has a nice flat bottom that is stiff.

Over all, a very nice bag for it's size, points taken away for the stupid strap and no way to lock.

Probably one of the worst bags Oakley has ever made. Stylistically, it looks cool. As with any canvas bag, it does not hold it's shape. The canvas is thick and shows wear very easily. However, it is still very durable. Maybe that's the point, it's designed to look like old Soviet gear, but realistically, not so much. The shoulder strap is one of the most useless straps on a bag I have ever seen. It is sewn into one side, while the other side is removable. There is no option to remove the strap if I don't want to use the strap. It's permanently attached at one end. Furthermore, the side that is detachable comes with a strange "pull pin" that is spring loaded. Pull the loop on the pin and the pin slides out and the clip pops open. I can see this getting caught on things and the strap detaching itself rather easily. If I hadn't been desparate to store my Oakley things in an Oakley bag, I would never have purchased this. Good thing I didn't pay retail.
