This isn't a review but a tip for Xtremehardy388. I apologize for posting it here but didn't know how else to contact him. The problem with your feet not staying warm may be a result of you lacing the boots too tightly. Some people think that tightness will help keep the warmth in, but if your boots are too tight, it will restrict blood flow to your feet, and that blood flow is what carries warmth from your body's core. Hope that helps.

I had really high expectations from these boots, after all of these reviews. I have to admit, they're great boots with great tread for off road terrain. The problem with the boots is, while they do keep my feet warm, usually, I thought they would always be warm. I'm not in below zero weather with these and my feet are still cold, sometimes. What's worse is that I'm usually wearing wool hiking socks, too. The boots are very waterproof, which is good. I got my girlfriend a pair, also and she thinks they're great at keeping her feet warm. Maybe I'm weird. These boots aren't terrible, by any means, but, they left me a little disappointed.

These are built for snow. The insulation in these is outstanding, while still allowing them to be breathable. The waterproofing I can't say enough about. Its almost like water just disappears when it hits the boots. They do feel a lot like hockey skates once they are laced up because they really secure ankle movement. So really I wouldn't wear these as a casual shoe just because they tend to be on the heavy side, and like I said they take away ankle movement.

I got these in Black - the 8 inch ones, and they are indeed the best winter boots you could ask for. I could almost use them on the snowboard. The case that attatches to the side is unique, but its serves me better to use it as an additional phone/ ipod case on my AP pack. Otherwise, a great looking and WARM pair of boots. For extreme outdoor cold use only, though. Trying to wear these as a fashion statement will only result in very uncomfortably warm feet.

This is one of the finest sets of footgear I've ever owned. I'd give it a 5 but for it's lack of availability. While their flying off the shelves was a sure sign of how great they were, the fact I couldn't get a black set in my size (10.5) makes them useless to me. I did manage to get a set with the help of an O-Store manager, however they were a full size too big and didn't really work. I would be grateful for anyone's assistance in helping me find a set of these. Quiddian@gmail.com
