This isn't a review but a tip for Xtremehardy388. I apologize for posting it here but didn't know how else to contact him. The problem with your feet not staying warm may be a result of you lacing the boots too tightly. Some people think that tightness will help keep the warmth in, but if your boots are too tight, it will restrict blood flow to your feet, and that blood flow is what carries warmth from your body's core. Hope that helps.

I had really high expectations from these boots, after all of these reviews. I have to admit, they're great boots with great tread for off road terrain. The problem with the boots is, while they do keep my feet warm, usually, I thought they would always be warm. I'm not in below zero weather with these and my feet are still cold, sometimes. What's worse is that I'm usually wearing wool hiking socks, too. The boots are very waterproof, which is good. I got my girlfriend a pair, also and she thinks they're great at keeping her feet warm. Maybe I'm weird. These boots aren't terrible, by any means, but, they left me a little disappointed.

These are built for snow. The insulation in these is outstanding, while still allowing them to be breathable. The waterproofing I can't say enough about. Its almost like water just disappears when it hits the boots. They do feel a lot like hockey skates once they are laced up because they really secure ankle movement. So really I wouldn't wear these as a casual shoe just because they tend to be on the heavy side, and like I said they take away ankle movement.

I got these in Black - the 8 inch ones, and they are indeed the best winter boots you could ask for. I could almost use them on the snowboard. The case that attatches to the side is unique, but its serves me better to use it as an additional phone/ ipod case on my AP pack. Otherwise, a great looking and WARM pair of boots. For extreme outdoor cold use only, though. Trying to wear these as a fashion statement will only result in very uncomfortably warm feet.

This is one of the finest sets of footgear I've ever owned. I'd give it a 5 but for it's lack of availability. While their flying off the shelves was a sure sign of how great they were, the fact I couldn't get a black set in my size (10.5) makes them useless to me. I did manage to get a set with the help of an O-Store manager, however they were a full size too big and didn't really work. I would be grateful for anyone's assistance in helping me find a set of these. Quiddian@gmail.com

Color: Sheet Metal/ Aurora

Amazing boot. very comfortable, very breathable ( even here in the hot Florida sun) The look is unique and draws much attention. I've never had a boot that was so comfortable and sturdy at the same time. The case that comes with it can easily hold a small firearm or a knife! I love these, time for the black ones now!

how cool and badass do these boots look? i love the over-the-top look of these boots; the big metal eyelets, the "Oakley" stitched side straps, the teethy soles, and of course the detachable case on the side of the boots. they're quite comfortable too, lots of padding and thick soles, but of course less flex when compared with the SI Assault Boots. being completely waterproof, i expected them to be really hot, but my feel stayed surprisingly warm and comfortable and not stuffy at all. i originally wanted a pair in Sheetmetal/Aurora but my O-Store didn't have it in my size, so i settled for the Black ones... still very cool.

Sheet Metal/Aurora
Really nice boot. Warm but has roomy fit so you could comfortably put thicker socks on too. The pocket on the outside is a nice detail but pretty much useless

Got a set of these thru Zappos.com. Black/black with silver metal hardware - not advertised on Oakley.com - check out the other colors. These have a real Nine inch Nails look and feel, and I've been using them mainly for cold weather motorcycle rides. The're pretty badass. They do pay homage to the Nail family. I'm not using the case during rides, but I am sure I will find a good use for it.

finally got one! not as nice as pictured but still very nice. Real test comes when rainy season starts. Comes with 2 diff colored laces which is nice. I just like the industrial look and the 2 year waterproof warranty

Color: Sheet Metal/Red

So these arrived yesterday, and I do like them. They're nothing like the SI Boot, but that doesn't make them bad. The SI's were more of a sneaker-boot, these are more like standard boots.

They lace up using these big metal loops, which gives it an OTT flare, if you're into that sort of thing. The nice thing about the big loops, is the ability to pull on the top and evenly tighten the whole boot. No more tightening one row, then moving to the next etc... and then back again to loosen them.

After you tighten them, the laced wrap around the back, and then cross over these hooks much like an ice skate. In fact they doo feel like an ice skate when you put them on.

I expected them when I saw it for the first time, to be stiff an hot. It ended up being neither. It feel secure, but is comfortable when wearing. It also is supposedly water resistant, yet breathable somehow (3rd party technology). They never feel too stuffy to wear, and I'm really impressed.

One funny thing, is when you take them off, your feet feel like they have pads on the bottom. I guess the boot fits your feet better then you feet fit the floor.

The soles are nice and study. Reminds me of the Nail, and gives you a great grip on the ground. No twisted ankles with this piece. It also has the look of the Teeth, which is a plus. Too bad they didn't color the teeth parts red though.

One shoe also has a case on the side (guess that's where casing came from). It easily fits a cellphone, but when I take mine out, it either answers the phone, because it rubs on the button, or it starts dialing someone. Best to have a small phone, but it works either way. Guess your best bet is to buy a RAZRWire.
