My Splice was given to me for free from a friend who lost interest in it. I got my Splice with the lenses severely scratched that you can barely see what's in front of you. The frame too was not spared from scratches. No wonder this Splice was not loved anymore.

After careful evaluation, I decided to buff its lower frame using toothpaste (yes Colgate Toothpaste) and a Microfiber cloth and I spray painted its upper frame to hide the deep scratches. I also bought a new pair of replacement lenses - Deep Red Ruby Iridium. When I finished my project, I loved the results and I loved how my newly rehabilitated Splice looks.

The only thing I don't like very much is that I think its too small for my face - its like a miniature copy of my Monster Dog - so I don't wear my Splice as often as my Monster Dog or my Gascan.

I love the way the Splice looks, but in terms of fit it leaves much to be desired. A wide variety of frame and lens options, not to mention getting two different colors in each frame option, leaves the buyer with a nice bunch of choices for a wild-looking pair of glasses. However, once you try them on, it won't be long before you realize that they're a bit uncomfortable and hard to wear for long periods of time. It's too bad really, because the Splice is a very cool-looking pair of glasses.
