What a great lens!

One of the best Oakley lens tint I have ever encountered.

The base tint is actually quite similar to that of the Shallow Blue Polarized lenses, but the light transmission of the Tungsten Iridium Polarized lenses is a bit lower (15%) and thus they are a bit more versatile to use, from very bright light to overcast.

IMHO they offer more contrast and depth perception than the VR28 Black Iridium Polarized, but they distort the colour quite a bit more and are not as soothing to the eye than the VR28 or G40 tints.

Definitely recommended.
My 2nd favorite after the OO Black Iridium Polarized.

A great lens, my absolute favorite. Besides looking fantastic in Jet Black Flak Jackets, this lens is wearable from very bright light to low light conditions. Excellent for driving on clouded days where the sun comes through every now and then but at the same time a solid choice on hot summer days. If I could only carry one pair of glasses with me for a given period, it would be this.

After the juliets changed over to hydrophic I wad looking for a polarized lens that would look good in a x-metal frame. It came down to tungsten and vr28. I went with the tungsten because I wanted to try something new and they looked reall good in the fuente antix. I wasn't disappointed. Great contrast and dark enough for Florida days. I hop they make this available in more models
dawn to dusk - all weather -
After a few months i continue to be amazed by these. Yesterday, overcast, hazy late afternoon, i tested these with/without while walking on a sidewalk. there were some red and yellow flowers and they were much clearer and brighter, each leaf edge was more defined with these on. So my new condition range for these is dawn to dusk, all weather.

i also notice this in sunny late afternoon, all the light pollution from the reflected glass off the buildings and cars makes things look cloudy, or straining to the eyes without polarized lenses. these Tungsten Iridium Polarized in a Radar Pitch are my fav to wear now, out of gold iridium, ice iridium, fire iridium, 24K iridium which are all sitting on a shelf.

A good polarized, contrast lens. Slightly darker than gold iridium and more brown. Great for full sun.

I love wearing these lenses on the beach or for fishing because the polarization and high contrast makes seeing into the water rather effortless. I just hate driving in them. They almost seem to mess with my color perception. They make certain colors like blue or turquoise stand out more. While making the color red less vivid.

I got my Ice Pick w/ this Tungsten Iridium Polarized. Very helpful for driving on highways on a sunny days, or even while driving in heavy rain or foggy road, it helps me see cars in front of me.
The polarization blocks blinding glare, but the lens still not too dark to use on cloudy days.
Definitely superior lens.

Holy crap. My first experience with Tungsten Iridium Polarized was on my Pit Boss. This comes extremely close to my all-time favorite, Black Iridium Polarized. It has all the contrast and low-light vision of Bronze, but still manages to block light and glare like Black Iridium. Truly an amazing lens.

I bought these in a pair of Oil Rigs after at a fishing show Kevin Vandam (Pro Bass Fishermen) told me that these work great for in land fishing. They do work good for fishing as long as it is not overcast. The tint is similar to Amber Black Iridium Polarized, only instead of the yellow tint it seems more brown and the contrast is not as harsh. I also noticed that in the store it appears that there is not much of a Iridium coating on them, but once you get them in the sun it is extremely apparent. My only complaint is that there is really no Oakley store that keeps these lenses in stock. They are available in almost every frame, but none of the Oakley stores I called or went to had them at all. So they had to be ordered. Overall a great fishing lens for bright days.

I got these with my custom Flak Jackets. I should have done better research before buying. I live, work, and play in extremely bright conditions and was looking for the darkest lenses possible. I should have gotten the B.I.P. But, for what they are....the polarization does offer glare reduction but the bronze/yellow tint fools my eyes and makes it actually feel brighter. The contrast is very sharp, which is nice. These are good everyday lenses for changing conditions but I will definitely purchase the B.I.P. for outdoor, sunny, summer conditions.
TERRORISM -
Like its counterpart (Tungsten Iridium), Tungsten Iridium Polarized provides excellent protection for bright conditions, yet is versatile enough to wear during overcast days as well. Polarization reduces blinding glare and makes this lens even more superior.

This one came on a pair of polished aluminium Half Jackets that I wanted so badly. Sort of in between VR28 Black Iridium and real Black Iridium to me. Cool, dark shades with an extra plus for the polarization. A bit too dark for mixed conditions but good when the sun comes out or makes reflexes from a wet road.

These lenses are a great all around tint. I really like these because they are so similar to my ti irid polarized. Pretty much same tint, maybe a touch lighter. Fine for indoor wear but I kinda have a problem with people who wear sunglasses indoors or at night. Great driving lens color but I have them on the Nano 2.0 so the coverage is a bit small to use for my convertible. On my Nanowire, they have that lens treatment which is a great bonus. That's the best thing to happen to Oak lenses so far, period. Now if they can only find a way to make their lense scratch-proof...

Great lens to own. The brown base provides a nice contrast tint when looking though. The added polarization is great if needed or preffered. The iridium gives a nice reflective coating on the outside. The only problem is that I find it hard to color coordinate with brown.
