Does anybody have the SI Beanie? http://oakley.com/pd/4176/13109)

I'm looking at picking this up to go under my helmet this winter for cold days skiing. This way I have a helmet liner and neck warmer all in one. My question is, is the material at the top thin enough to fit under a helmet and not be uncomfortable? Also, it says on the site folds to become a balaclava when unbuttoned - where does it button and how does that work?

Thanks

Jamie - the material is the same as they use on regular beanies. So it is rather thick. Not sure if it will work under your helmet...

It's a thin material, like Ollie said, that's the same as any of the knit beanies. Rather than folding down from a beanie to a balaclava, it's a balaclava that unsuccessfully tries to roll up into a beanie. There is a button on one side that tries to hold up the rolled up portion, but since it has to be rolled up exactly, and the button doesn't hold too well, it doesn't really work. Plus since the face hole is so close, you still end up with a gap. The reviews in the Review section pretty much repear my feelings.

Does anyone own the beanie that looks like a twin to the Monster Balaclava? Not the roll up SI one that is mentioned above but just a beanie with 3 straps on it?

I'll try to get a group pic soon of them. Black, cement and olive for sure but I have black ones with different colors in the stitching.
