Been wondering about this as I have worn a couple places on my Titanium Sq Wire 2.0 Spring Hinge. Where the pewter color has worn it's sorta silver, could you polish the pewter off and make the look like the T-wire? If so what's the best way to go about this?

Not quite sure what makes up the coating but pretty sure you can polish it off. Think there's a few member who have polished up juliets.

Been thinking of doing the same thing with my titanium pewter SQWs - What I am going to try is the Pinnacle Polish Brushed Finish and Crystal Clear polish and a dremel - probably start with the brushed finish paste as its more abrasive and and finish up with Crystal Clear - the tricky parts are going to be inside the orbitals and the nosebomb holders - might need a dremel wire brush for that ... I've heard that this stuff at high enough polishing speeds strips off the coating off the titanium x-metal finish off timebombs.

However, whatever you use you should probably test it somewhere safe (probably under the earsocks).

I'd imagine they're anodized with that color. It's tougher than paint (my Rx frame is painted, and the coating is really soft).

Well theres a small portion near the earsock tha came off carring a moving box is why I asked. I've picked at it ad made it larger just using my finger nail. It's why I got the idea just to take it all off and wondered about an easier way.

Have had this happen on a pair Ti Pewter/VR28 Blue SW's. It looks like the coating is quite thin and flakey. It would probably come off with little effort. Although I've only seen it peel off on the earstems as well.
