Is it very difficult or even possible to put polarized Straight Jacket lenses in a straight jacket frame that came with non-polarized lenses?

I remember there used to be a place in the FAQ on the old oakley website that said polarized lens could not be place in frames that came with non-polarized lenses, I was wondering if the New SJ were one of those frames.

Thanks in advance.

They've improved the thickness of polarized lenses to be very close to the non-polar ones. I think they should be fine now.

What about changing the icons? Is that possible for the SJ or any Oakleys?

Yep, just use a pin or small nail. I find for the inset icons on the SJ though, that it's best to use a razorblade that's flat. I made some dents in my trying to do that.

use a dental pick and a heat gun...come out no problem...heat them up, but not too hot, and use a pick to lift them off...

Josh and Dann are both right. I use very hot water and a flat stiff razor blade. I also start from the inside of the frame to remove the icon. I found you have less slipping when you use the blade and push the icon down and away from you. Also it is always handy to use the very thin two side gum adhesive you use to attach paper dust backing to a picture frame. Just in case the gum on the icon comes off. Super glue is also handy in case the Icon seperates from is own plastic base. Create a away!!

P.S if you should slip and remove the coating. I recommend permanent white and color pens that sharpie makes in a kit.

Hmmm, might have to choose a pair from my "collection" as a sacrificial lamb for a test run
