I've noticed something strange about a new pair of Ruby Juliet lenses that I've bought online, the back of the lens, as compared to a regular emerald juliet lens, feels matte.

I don't exactly know how to describe it, but it your finger doesn't glide along smoothly (think polished feel vs matte feel).

Once again, I'm talking about the back of the lens, where you look through.

Anyone notice this about their rubies?

Could be AR. or could be a non-Oakley lens, How does it look otherwise?

As we've discussed in the Keystone thread, the ruby coating is very difficult to make (even for Oakley). I've been looking for a Rx ruby lookalike lens but no lens company seems to be able to make it.
All this to say that, if the front really looks like ruby, then I think it's very unlikely it wouldn't be Oakley.
