I was just at the Houston o-store and happened upon a Icon Watch (serial etched 000235). They are doing inventory and just happened to put it out an hour before I got there. Of course, it was priced out of this world ($250) and had the time vault with it, so I pounced.

I was looking at the box though and the label says "Ion Plated Stainless w/Black Dial Lens." I thought these watches were titanium? I can't believe that it would be stainless because I have a Stealth TB and that thing is freaking heavy.

Any insights?

BTW, the Vault at Katy Mills has a pair of XX Mars that are $179 if anyone is looking for them.

Icon Watch? Or do you mean Time Bomb?

Was the Icon ever made in stealth?

I have both: a "Ion Plated Stainless w/Black Dial Lens" Icon Watch and a "Sealth Black Time Bomb" At least according to the boxes. That is what I was wondering though. Is the Icon watch actually stainless or titanium?

it's probably stainless steel just like every other stealth watch made.

that is the thing though, the watch is really light and it has a silver/titanium looking case/band, but the dial is black. So really, my question is, do I just have a regaular titanium/black faced Icon watch and the box is wrong?

The box is one of the yellow boxes and has (c) 2003 on it. It has the same serial number as the TB though 700285100036, but the bottom numbers are 10-003-V00001965, which is different from the TB box.

TB's that are Stealth are ion plated...they couldnt make the Ti black for some reason.

okay, so i'm thinking they gave me a TB box to go with my Icon watch. I might have to go back and see if they have the Icon Box, because if they have the original Black Icon Box I would rather have that than the yellow one.

Sounds like a box swap, since there's a very notable difference in weight between the Ti and SS models.

And just for reference, Stealth is not a casing/band color, it's a term for the combination of Ion Plated SS/Black Face. Same goes for some glasses.
