Hey guys. Got an email from a mate asking for my advice. As I have ZERO knowledge about Oakley's technical gear, nor snowboarding, I was wondering if you guys could help? When I email him back, full credit will go to the O-Review! Cheers:

Need your guidance. I am heading to Queenstown to go snowboarding later in the year (Aug).

When your in an Oakley store next can you check out the snowboard jacket/pants etc and let me know what you think. I've been on ebay and checked some stuff out but its hard to get an idea without seeing it in the flesh. And before you say it - NO I'm not going to wear the full piece Bullet camo outfit and while the Case shoes are cool I'm not buying them!

If you have any ideas let me know. If you happen to have any of the gear post it out I'll pay. You don't happen to have a pair of a-frames o-frames or wisdom do you?

Speak to you soon.

Oakley snowboard gear (aka "tech outerwear") tends to be fairly pricey, but I think it's absolutely worth it. From a performance and quality standpoint, it's every metre as solid as the other major manufacturers, but you also get to rock the "O" on the slopes. There's some gnarly pieces out there (like the one-piece stuff), but there's plenty of more toned-down stuff too.

have the chamber jacket, seems to be waterproof, could test it once, but i think the flaps on the schoulder where you can open the jacket vor venting can let some water in when it rains, don'T know, will see...design and look: awesome

Hey bro, Oakley outerwear is the sickest gear on the planet... Example... I bought a pair of Oakley snowboard pants about 7 years ago. (I wore them in local mountians at about 70 degree wheather and have wore them in mammothin 5 degree wheather) and was just as comfortable.... and that's where my oakley addiction started....... It is well worth the money......
