to re-state again:
some older wires were made in Japan (T-wire and others), but otherwise all eyewear is (or is said to be) made in the US.

Riddle, Spike, Crosshair, Warden and Montefrio are not made in the US.
Or at least they aren't labeled as being made stateside. I know a lot of wires have some printing under the earsock nowadays, but usually just the part number and not the Made in USA tag. Doesn;t mean they aren;t though, there is just not a lot of room to print it there. It's the high end metals that are made in Nevada. The X-Metal and Mag frames. Other Wires may be made stateside. I know a few of the Rx are made in China or Japan according to the boxes.

I know that the electronics say MADE IN SINGAPORE, but on the other stem it says "OAKLEY DESIGN USA" so they were designed in the USA and assembled overseas

You might also notice that for some styles and pairs, ONLY the Unobtainium is "stamped" with made in USA leading me to believe that simply the Unob is made here, for the questionable models. If the quality is fine,.. (Oakley is defined by quality, in my soggy book) then I am happy regardless. Oakley takes way too much time, effort, considerations, study of matterials, etc... to sell a bad product, based on its manufacture.

Not so. Take the X-Metals for example, their earsock says MADE IN USA though it's not printed on my Juliet or Mars frames and they're MADE IN USA. I was just going to mention this, on my SW 3.0 the earsock says MADE IN USA so the frame probably is. Same with O-Matter Twentys as an example. Any frame that the earsock was a wider surface to imprint it on.

Its seems valid,... and I would wish u r right,.. so I am happy. Either way the questions of origin would never stop me,... it is the image/ the concept of design that makes Oakley, not where it is made
