So I can't say much other than I had these puppies on. They were glorious though. So much better balanced, the new ear booms are longer and fit better, and they slimmed down the electronics nicely. By far the most impressive pair of electronics I've tried. Even if you don't use them for sport, they're just a gorgeous pair to look at. And another plus, you can actually fold them up unlike T2 and OROKR.

Sweet, I feel so stupid for bashing the earstems. It never occured to me until now that the reaseon for the skinny earstems is so you can fold them up and conceal the headphones.

I'm glad you can fold these. I thought that was a little annoying about the OROKR.

Were you able to remove the lenses for inspection? Bottlecap or HJ?

Did not get to take them out, but my intuition says bottlecap.

Not Exactly like a bottlecap, but close enough to make them work. As for 1/2 Jacket, I would give the same answer as I did for the 1/2 J working in bottlecap, they go in but I would not use them if I was doing any thing active.

I cannot wait for these, I got to test them out this past weekend, and they FREAKING ROCK!! They feel way lighter than the Thump2s and are alot more solid than the Thumps. I love how the matte earpiece gives the stem almost a two-tone effect. You guys are gonna love them!!

Yeah these look like a perfect addition to the Thump line.

However, does anyone think the marketing-speak on oakley.com is a bit over the top? When I was training seriously I was way too focused to listen to music, especially to have buds right in my ear. Any other (ex-)athletes feel the same or differently?

I actually focus better with music especially when I train.

I've always loved having music to help with training. Helps with the heart rate and adrenaline as long as you're listening to the right stuff. And you have to remember part of the beauty of any thump is you don't have to have the bud in. Just keep it close to your ear and you can hear the music and ambient noise.
