Here's what I don't get (and we've had them for awhile now)...

The arm tapers at the end like a Five 3.0 or Bottlecap so that the earbooms can fold up flush.

But why? You can't wear them that way because then the earbooms are on top of your ears. So what's the point?

Huh? The arm goes strait back when your not using them (makes the back half of the stem look the same thickness as the front half)

Yeah but you can't actually put them on like that... can you? I can't, it's uncomfortable as all hell.

No, I'm with Neil. They've got to go above the arm to not interfere with my ears.

I just miss understood you, I thought you meant that you were folding them down around the square part that holds the electronics. Silly me! LOL

Yea I guess it just depends on how they fit you, they don't bother my ears.

The Dark Grey/Light Grey is now $129, and there it will stay, I think, as far as official sales channels are concerned. I imagine the other 256s and eventually the 512s will also be under $150 at some point.

Naturally, the last ones will be sold off through non-Oakley channels (Overstock, maybe?) for less... $50ish, I'd guess.

Just thought I'd confirm the deal about replacement lenses. The lenses that already come in the frame, along with THUMP PRO Replacement Lenses, are NOT HJ lenses. However, I tried HJ lenses in Thump Pro and it fits perfectly ! I guess you can say that the hooks on either top corners of the lense are the same for both TP and HJ, but not the rest of it.

On top of multiplying the options by God-knows-how-many, which is awesome, the greatest part is that it doesn't look odd by one bit. Remember how HJ lenses will fit R2, but they kinda point towards the outside because of the curve of the top of R2 frame ? Well in Thump Pro, HJ lenses will look just as if they were the stock lenses made for this model.

I put some Ti Clear Thump Pro lenses in a Black frame and it looks absolutely gorgeous ! A customer wanted to wear them at the gym : problem solved !

Actually, you should check the pics at the bottom of this page, which I posted as soon as the TPRO was released:
http://www.o-review.com/forum_detail.asp?ID=5232&StartNum=17

You can see that the outside corners of the lens don't match up (like the R2 with HJ lenses). Using XLJ lenses makes it look a lot better (because they curve back out to the outside). Anyway, the fit along the top is very similar to the stock lenses, and I wouldn't worry about them falling out.

Bottom line: If you've got the lenses already, they'll make a suitable substitution. Same deal if you really want a color that isn't made yet for the TPRO. But be advised that the fit does have gaps at the edges (which may be enough to dissuade some of the more anal retentive among you).

Ah, that's true, I hadn't noticed that lil' gap. But it's not like it's really problematic IMO.
