Hiya ppl, I'm thinking of getting myself a Half Jacket. I'm definitely getting a black frame with a set of polarized lenses.

So far there are 3 polarized colours that come together with the black frame and they are
- Black Iridium
- Gold Iridium
- Black Amber

Can you guys post pictures especially on the gold iridum and the black amber? Cause I've seen many pictures on the internet and most of them are brownish...

Also which lenses do you recommend? For various activities...

OCE lets you get whatever you want in a variety of black frames. I don't really like Amber-Black, as it's not very dark. Ice Polar is my fav. Or Ti.

Can't you get a Titanium Iridium Polarized for your HJ purchase?!? ... that would be my suggestion - can't go wrong!

easy enough to OCE/BTO a Black/Ti Polar pair.

I only listed these 3 lenses becaue they come together with the black frame. I don't think I'm keen on doing BTOs as I have to pay an extra MYR50 (USD13) just for a different colour combination.

Any pictures would be great... any gold iridium polarized pics?

Also, is there much difference in the normal lens and the XLJ lenses??

Heck you are getting a better deal to go custom since in the US the upcharge is $15UDS for the custom option. I say gold polarized if you like increased contrast, amber if you fish TONS!, or black if you just want a good dark lens for keepin the sun out. Other than that ice is great for looks (blue outside is always pretty) and ti polarized is just ablosultey fantastic since it is dark, very reflective and has about the perfect amount of contrast to it.

Hmm... interesting, do tell me more about the Ti's. Any pictures??

I rarely fish, (maybe twice a year??). It's for normal stuff like driving (lots of those) and the occasional sport activity.

it's the most expensive lens they make, so it must be the best...

Not anymore... that'd be Black Persimmon/Grey Transitions.

'Course, that's kinda cheating.

No, they're only available from warranty service for now, so there's no retail SKU yet.

They're $100, which is pretty much what you'd expect- $20 more than polarized, just like when in the frame.

Why is Amber Black the best for fishing?
Why is Ti Polarized the best overall?

I'm considering getting myself a pair of normal Ti Polarized lenses (BTO). I'd go for the XLJ Ti Polarized since it's not BTO but then those 'extras' at the corners touch my cheek bones and is irritating. D*mn....

Just go to:

Almost everything is in the OCE. Just not the H.I. Yellow and Dark Bronze

Is the HI Yellow available if you do the OCE at the O store?

If the XLJ lens hits your cheek, just buy a Nosepiece Earsock kit for $20 and install the larger nosebombs. As for lenses, a couple of people here have +Red Iridiums for the Half Jackets but I believe they are special edition Half Jackets. They look great though!!!

HJ nose/ear kits are $11, not $20.

HI Yellow was available through BTO so they should still have them in stock for OCE.

haha.. thanks for the advice. But I already tried the XLJ's WITH the bigger nosebombs. The sides still touch my cheeks. Anyway, I dun really like the XLJ looks, so I'm going for a normal shaped lens.

Oh dear. Please confirm this one. The amber black iridium polarized lens is so translucent I can see my eyes from the outside...

I dun quite like this feature.
