So I'm part collector, part entheusiest. I have this mint pair of Mars, Leather Wrapped that I can't seem to make a decision on what to do with. Keep for the collection, sell for a ridiculous price on Ebay, or just plain wear. What to do, what to do, what to do?

Any advise?

Points 1 and 3.
Keep for the collection and wear them when the desire hits!

I have some really celan leather mars and while they dont get much wear I have them in the collection because they are rare, awesome and I do occasionally wear them. Unless you need the money for something else I would say keep them.

There was a pair on ebay BIN for 170usd including shipping for about 2-3 months. I wouldnt call that a ridiculous amount of money...and hardly worth selling considering the OTT nature of them. Keep them, wear them, display them. Theyre a great conversation starter(so I've heard).

I don't think you can get a lot of money for them on ebay. Like osmosisjones, I've seen them sell for $180 on ebay. Sometimes if you are lucky, you can find them at a Vault for 200. I would just keep them for your collection.

Thanks for the opinions, when i mentioned a huge ammount on Ebay, I just saw someone buy a pair for $300 USD. I thought it was ridiculous myself.

there are certain pairs you just don't part with...anything leather wrapped would be on that list..as mentioned above, clean ones are hard to come by, and unless you have to move them to acquire another equal, there's no point...common stuff, no problem, but htf stuff, that's a no no...

Seems like the rubys are the hot cakes on ebay price wise...

The leather mars moreso than the other x metals raises this question because to wear them even for a short time risks an alteration of their appearance that is irreversible. For that reason, it was necessary to acquire a pair for the collector and a pair for the enthusiast. This is not to conclude, though, that a single pair must fall into one camp or the other.
