I was just wondering if this Hatchet comes with normal clear lenses or Ti-Clear? BTW the frame is in metal or plastic?

I'm kinda interested in buying one.

I'll speak for the moderators.. CHECK the freaking database,,,Dann spent mucho time putting it together. If you had you will see all hatchet models have 0-luminum frames...

Thanks,

woah budddy, since you checked the database you would see that the lnes is titanium clear, ti clear being the working short hand. also, there is a tid-bit about the frame material in the database, so two questions, two answers in the database. rangerK replied to a public post so in a sense it was HIS freaking business.

o-luminum is great, very light, very stiff. it is a great metal for oakley to use on a thicker style frame like the hatchet.

K, it's good to have another proponent of the DB around. Again, lots of members have put in lots of work to make the Database as thorough as possible. It's as comprehensive as any information source regarding Oakley as you'll ever find.

Recent models from 2000 on are usually very accurate. It's only the older stuff that's dodgy. Rule of thumb is, if it has a SKU#, it's usually pulled from an official source, and therefore correct.

Although the DB is currently showing the old Hatchet pricing. New prices post to appear in the DB thread shortly.

I've kept all prices at what they started at. Thumps are a good example. 10 year from now, we won't really care what they ended up at. Just trying to look at it from a historical point of view.

I can understan the confusion, as I had the same question a coupple of months ago...

I still do not understand why the Oalkey site lists Hatchets as Mercury/Clear, but lists a Why 8 as Polished Chrome/Titanium clear.

Would be nice if similar lenses carried the same name.

By the way, I ended up getting the Hatchets and am very happy thus far with them. They have become my primary overcast glasses.

Those Hatchets are very nice. It is wierd that the Oakley site has them listed with Clear. They had a ton of these at an O Vault for $150.
