I was curious about what you guys thought about Oakley's foray into the Lifestyle Fashion space. With Jamin Jannard, Jim's son bringing Warden and Fat Cat to the current line, do any of you want to see Jamin's stretchline project move forward with more new styles? Do you guys feel like they're a little late in this space of the market? Personally, I think this is a much better move than when Jordan and Schmidt intro'd the OO line...

Ps..Has anyone seen Jamin's street team? He's got his own oakley task force spreadin the word at influential hotspots.

I do like their move with the Stretchline but as of yet I do not like the 2 Stretchline products. Read my reviews. I think the best part of the line so far has been the introduction of new frame colors used on both O-Matter and Metal frames. Blue Camo is great, as is Olive on the Warden. I also feel it's a crock that they can only be obtained at the highest of OPDs. I was lucky enough to have one by me, though I lack Surf shops where it is said they would have been available. They must have taken pity on the mountains of northeast PA for that to have happened.

As far as the Lifestyle/Fashion aspect of the line, it's not a new concept for Oakley or something they are hitting too late. We've had OO, Four, Fate, Why(s) and if they would only make the different RX wires available as sunglasses they may have corned a good part of this market by now. I would like to see it move on but with a wider availablity, online perhaps @ oakley.com, a few more styles and maybe even take a few currents styles and put them in exclusive color combos like the premium dealer exclusives. Let's hear it for Blue Camo Monster Dogs!!!

One more thing I think they need to watch on this line is qualtiy control. The pair of Wardens I had, the lenses kept falling out and the pair of Fatcats I had the left arm was kinked. Both brand new. I don't know if they were just trying to get theses out that fast or what had happened.

I agree that they need to have a slightly bigger release plan. It's rare enough to see anyone wearing a good pair of Oakley's, let alone one of the newest, so I don't see why the latest releases have to be locked away to protect the exclusiveness. I could get them ordered, but I'd at least like to try a pair on first.

That aside, I think the lifestyle line is a good idea as long as they keep up their styles and don't get too rediculous looking. There's nothing worse then the designer glasses going for hundred, for no other reason than having a fancy European designer putting his name on them.
