something darker than the current Black would be nice.
It's all about my suggested Dark Black Iridium. A 10% lens and a coating with standard grey (18%) that makes a 10% must yield what a 4% lens?

Josh, those are some complex multi iridium lenses there.

Pretty sure the Black Persimmon Transition lens has BI on it.

Well let's see. Black iridium is grey with iridium baked on. Grey has a 18% transmission at the backsurface and Black iridium is 10% supposedly.

In order to legally market a darker lens, Oakley might have to jump through hoops if you'ra talking about a 5% transmission lens. That's dark! You're talking about removing an additional 50% of the light we see through black iridium. Probably only for use atop Mt. Kilamanjaro.

Since the iridium coat reflects or absorbs, 44.444% of the light on the black iridium lens, I'm assuming that making the coat thicker isn't really a solution. Oakley COULD make the lenses a little thicker and get the same effect. A thicker lens would yield a lower transmission.
