I don't think it's possible to do an rx in the spike.

Why? Spike is dual lens... I don't understand where is the trouble.

In cutting the proper Rx lens and inserting it into such a hard to flex frame without screws to loosen the orbitals. Perhaps the base curve is too much. I'm sure someone somewhre will do it though.

Thanks for the explanation, but... DAMN! I was already feeling a Spike on my head!
Let's go to Juliet...

actually the lenses in Spike are cut from one, so its made like riddle then split into 2 lenses.

if you look at it you will notice its one smooth curve rather than 2 sepearate ones.

Phil's explanation is the right one; it's impossible to mount the rx lens in a metal frame without orbital screws.

Why this? Also the Gascan mounts two lenses cut from a big one, but it's RX ready!
Aren't RX lenses identical to the plano lenses in the shape?

I was told spike can handle an RX (be it a low one). I will double check with some people and get back to you.

A bit OT - the new european RX form - did it say anything about the Grapevine?

Grapevine can be done in Rx.

Script and Grapevine are both Rx ready. While theoretically Spike should take an Rx lens (Toric isn't a problem, although it limits the possible range) the difficulty would be making a lens fit securely in a frame you can't open up to insert it.

IOW, what Phil said.

Ok, it was a mistake on the orignal tec sheet. They can not hold an RX.
