My Romeo doesn't have any spider cracks yet after so many wears, and I hope it stay that way. But let say the spider cracks starting to appear and I continue to wear them, will the cracks expand throughout the whole lens eventually or not?

No, just at the flex points. They don't get bigger than a cm or so. It won't affect the structure of the pair, but won't look as nice.

try to switch out the T-shocks to the smallest ones (15s) to avoid the stress point from pinching which will eventually lead to the spider cracking.

In fact they usually don't even make it into the field of vision

My OPD told me the newer romeo's have been fixed of the problem. Maybe yours is the newer version.

I found this image recently on ebay. About the lens defects the seller said "These sunglasses do have a VERY FINE "spider web" type of scratch on the left lense (as seen in the picture) that can be seen under a light"

and from this picture, they appear to be lacking the serial number, which means they are a newer model

I don't see how they could possibly fix it & use the same design. Unless they made the joints so rigid that they didn't flex at all

the R2 doesn't have the problem, but R1's problem involves its bridge design. the four flex joints transmit the flex into the lens, making it crack in the upper-inside corner. they're really hard to see, especially with the Iridium coating. I didn't notice mine until a couple days after I had them (ebay purchase).

I believe the Romeo was discontinued before they stopped the serials. I may be wrong.

I know some (if not all ) the Plasma/Fire Romeos lack serials. I did think the X-Metal and Titanium frames came with them though. Ben's pic above mucks that theory up.
