with some loose jeans they look nice, when the top opening is mostly coverd by your pants they look great. love the fit though, run a tad big actually so thats a little strange, very good for just kickin around in though.
Guys those things are horrible! just takes away from the industrial Oakley look you know the screaming image of driving in a gas slurping dodge war wagon with your casings on wearing your medusa while chomping on a cigar! These conjur up the image of one puffing on a pall mall in the bently saying "Wilbur now drop me off at the country club i need to show off my montefrios"
i see where you're coming from Jose. when i think of Oakley i also think about some bad*ss industrial stuff. there's always gonna be a love of SI Assault and Casing Boots for me (gosh i love my Casings to death!) but these Humidors are something else. i didn't expect to like them at all, and my first thoughts i can definitely relate to yours, i'm still not sure about the white Humidors and i think shiney Black won't do them justice, but from what i've seen the Tan ones look quite nice and understated, would go well with a pair of blue boot-cut jeans. i'm not the person who often wear sandals at all for comfort (however i do have a pair of Gaskets) but i think the Tan Humidors will fit the bill for me. i'll just have to try them on at the O-Store first.
Ive gotta say, they actually fit Oakley. Who out there makes high-quality relaxingshoes like this? Theyve got form and function and are completely different from what other people are selling.
I think the most OTT shoe oakley has done would be the bright red pit shoe, which I am a proud owner of, those are great & awesome shoes but can's be worn with everything. I think for the current target crowd the new humidor will be an excellent shoe. Not really my style in general but put them on and walk in them a bit, they will grow on you, I promise. And color does make a big diff, the black ones with the shiny/polished finish are a bit much for me but girls LOVE them! I dig the textured finish on the tan, or "brown" to be specific, so thats the pair I have. Have not seen the white in person but I think I dont need another pair of white shoes, lol.
Wow... had no idea they'd get such a wide range of responses.
I think they're the perfect expression of current Oakley philosophy- same quality, but tailored to a wider range of tastes.
Honestly, they're not really my thing, but they looked different and they're incredibly comfortable. 99% of the time I'm either wearing sandals or chunky soled black Skechers "dress shoes", and these fit in between quite nicely. I do have to say I'd probably wear the charcoal version more and I'll probably get them next month.
Besides, the Crosshair is an Oakley glass designed specifically to fit a fashion trend, and how many of you disapproved of those?
