I have a whole heap of pics I want to upload to my own user gallery like all you cool guys have.

The first time you upload something it will create one.

Actually it never 'creates' one, it just makes links to whoever has images uploaded.

I have uploaded one picture into the x-metal gallery and the same pic into my collection and I still can't see my name at the bottom of the gallery page under 'User's Galleries'.

Is there anything else I have to do? Maybe I wasn't logged in but I doubt it.

Not sure what happened. Even if you're not actively logged in, it should still at least remember whoyou are as long as you've logged into that computer before and haven't explicitly logged out. Anyway, I changed them, so it should be fine now.
