Carbon Ichiros have the blue lens (greenish tint)

The polished Ichiros (2001) have the OO blue lens (purplish tint)...

FROM EBAY:
Carbon / Blue on the left -
Polished / OO Blue on the Right

no problem...Dann needs to remove that picture. It has caused alot of confusion. Both the Blue and OO Blue lens are very nice. They are also both made in non-Ichiro versions. (no signature). :)

if you have any other question..please feel free to ask.

rhlake, it can go either way.

I've seen carbon ichiros with purplish blue lenses, and my pair of BNIB polished ichiros had the greenish blue. The Juliet blue iridium is the same lens as OO Blue Iridium. It's pretty much a batch/generation difference as to whether its a deep purply blue or turquoise blue. The reason the name OO Blue Iridium was made was to distinguish this specific lens from the old blue iridium that had a vr28 base, rather than the neutral grey base. It was first featured in the OOs, hence the name OO Blue Iridium. When they carried that lens over to other models (pocket, juliet, etc) the OO went along with it, but was eventually just called blue iridium.... with the OO sometimes coming back, sometimes not. Confusing.... god I hate you oakley lol

I gotta go with Tom on this one. Both my boxes from the 1st Gen and Carbon Ichiro state the lens as being "Blue Iridium". No reference to OO Blue. My OO Square's have OO Blues though, but they don't even say OO Blue.

OO Blue became Blue Iridium after the original Blue Iridium (with the fire/green base) was discontinued. Differences between the box label and website labeling, were probably mid-transition errors.

edit: yeah what Tom said, sorry :P
