I am thinking about making the trip to the Soho O-store either this coming weekend or next weekend. Anybody got any suggestions on whats the best way to get there from Grand Central Station??? Is it to far to go by cab??

The easiest way to get to the O store is by a cab. but normally i drive in myself which is not to hard to do it is not too far from the Holland Tunnel.

from Grand Central, you'll need to take the Shuttle that runs between Grand Central and Times Square. get off at Times Square and transfer to the Downtown R Train, take that to Prince Street, and the O-Store is three blocks heading west... near the corner of Prince Street and Mercer Street (i think...). in any case, it's half a block away from the Apple Store. hope that helps.

Ditch the cab follow Bongs advice stick to the subway. You can also grab the Downtown 4 or the 5 at Grand central to 14 st (1 stop) and transfer to the downtown R there to prince street (2 stops). And parking almost Impossible so i would definetly not drive in.

Just ask anyone on the street! "Excuse me sir. I'm trying to get to the Oakley Store. I'd take the subway but all I have is a pocket full of hundreds & I don't want to break one just for subway fare. Could you give me a ride?" "Sure pal. My car's right over here in this alley"

oh, Jose's route would work well, faster too! :)
but yeah, ditch the cab cos during the day, you're gonna get stuck in traffic and the cab fare is gonna cost you a pretty penny. the subway is just $2.00 per trip. it's great the subway can take you to virtually anywhere in the city, just as long as you know which train to take... i have to admit a first timer in NYC looking at our subway map can be a bit intimidating... looks like multicoloured spaghetti. anyway, forget about driving too cos like Jose said, it'll be impossible to find a parking spot.
