Hey guys, another newb question for ya. Anyone know which cases are too big and too small for the whiskers? I was eyeing a small metal vault or kevlar vault, but I have no idea if it's too small for Whiskers. Oakley's site is zero help, since it seems on their site, no case fits Whiskers.

I've not so much as seen a vault in person (although I know the square ones are huge), so I can't really eyeball it to tell. Anyone have any ideas?

Small vaults and the kevlar ones should be fine. The medium soft vault or large metal vault would be overkill, but with a microbag, shouldn't be too bad.

That's wierd, I just asked the premiumoptics reseller over at ebay, as they have a fairly good range of stuff and 100% FB. He said that the Whiskers are fairly new, and the small vaults are too tight of a fit, and that the medium vault is a perfect fit.

Well now I'm confused. :(

My brother has a pair and they're not too much bigger than the A Wires or whatnot. Only the Why's won't fit because the hinge is too far back. Medium should work, I just think it may be too loose.

LOL, okiedokie, apparently premiumoptics likes a loose fit. ;)
He's obviously not trying to make any extra money because the cases are all the same price. :)

Thanks guys! Small kevlar it is! :)

Loose is Ok too. It's not like they're going to get hurt in there

I've heard bad things about that case when it comes to sunglasses

I have the small metal vault and the whiskers are a really tight, almost too tight, fit. They work but not something you would use over and over as you would risk putting them in too quickley and could possibly bend those oh so thin arms.

Well, I'm getting a medium soft vault and the small kevlar. We'll see which one actually gets used. I have to get a medium anyway for the hopefully-soon-to-arrive monsterdogs.

That premiumoptics guy is really prompt with the emails, and plus points for answering on a weekend. :)

I'll keep you guys posted as to which case fits best. :)

Tick, with the AP you need to use the bag to keep it from scratching. Is that what you were refering to?

Yeah the AP bag doesn't really look like it's for me. I'd like to pick up a metal torpedo sometime, but it's no pressing issue... *wallet runs away screaming at yet another expensive hobby* :)

Oh, to expand on my above comment, it's not the vaults that make my wallet run away screaming, it's the Metal XX's that are calling my name. ;)

Anyway, the small kevlar vault does indeed work like a charm. The medium is a bit big, but I love the ergonomics of it. I think I'll mostly use the small one, but I have that medium vault in case I accidently find myself with more Oakleys. ;)
