pikaflu2000 asks: Question, how tight was the visor in the movie when you wore it?
james_marsden_live: They gradually created a few more that were more comfortable, but didn't stay on my face too easily.
james_marsden_live: We had to use adhesive tape on the nose piece.
james_marsden_live: It was comfortable though.
james_marsden_live: They used a computer graph of my face, and molded it to me based on that.
james_marsden_live: The uncomfortable part was losing about 70% of my peripheral vision.
johnnyjos asks: So when is Professor X going to invent some Contact Lenses for Cyclops? I mean, Oakley lookalikes are cool and all, but Cyclops isn't really a snowboarder, is he?
james_marsden_live: There was actually a very early conversation early from Bryan about that.
james_marsden_live: We wanted to stay true to the comic, so did the visors AND the ruby Red lenses.
james_marsden_live: They actually worked and I convinced Bryan to keep the glasses.
james_marsden_live: The visor is triggered by an aperture on the side. Manually. But Contact Lenses wouldn't do that.
james_marsden_live: I don't know how he could control them with contacts. But interesting.
james_marsden_live: I wanted to please the fans. So we went with the visor and the lenses.
james_marsden_live: The fans know best.
darkkurloc asks: what did everything look like when you had the visor and glasses on?
james_marsden_live: very pinkish red
james_marsden_live: I couldn't see much really.
james_marsden_live: There's just one red slit I could see out of, so if I was afraid I was going to trip, I'd have to point my head at the ground.
james_marsden_live: But there was another visor used for Visual Effects that made me 100% blind.
