They're both about as easy to change (maybe the RJ being a little easier), but the HJ's are easier to obtain.

It depends on how fussy you are about scratches. I play sports in my HJ, and used it to work as a sailing instructor last summer. While the lenses are certainly dinged up enough to be frowned upon by almost everyone on this forum, I won't replace the lenses. Until they suffer some serious, vision-impairing damage, I'll continue to use my current Ice Polarized lenses. Having a beater pair, especially if you dedicate them to playing/riding is the way to go.

I bought a pair of Half's as my new beater pair, but since they're brand new, and so pretty, I can't bare to treat them with all but the best care.

That was my plan, to just have a pair for riding. That's why I was looking into cost a bit and the lense replacement factor. But I have a feeling that what ever I get I'll be like Dann a bit and not want to beat them up. I might have to force myself to actually wear them riding.

I was looking at the BTO and would Vented G30 Persimmon Iridium and the Persimmon (Non-Iridium) have the same light index? I would guess not. I'm still trying to grasp all of this lense with different color iridium coating stuff. The G30 Persimmon isn't list under lens tints on oakley.com by the way. Unless I missed it some how.

G30 Persimmon is 59%, Persimmon is 61%.
For Future reference, use the Lens Options page in the Supplements Section:
http://www.o-review.com/lens.asp

Both of those are pretty light, and would be hellish in the sun. G30 is as light as I'd go if you plan on wearing them on sunny days.

Thanks for the info.!

I forgot all about the O-Review Sup. Section.
I checked the lens tint section on oakley.com and they din't have G30 Persimmon listed.

The lenses are pretty light, I don't lke my lenses to be too dark when I'm riding. The light conditions in my opinion when riding in an area covered with lots of trees can change a lot sometimes.
