Hi,

I thrifted this back in the Philippines, unsure of its authenticity and its ID. I got home last week and tried to find it online, I thought it was a minute (gen 2) although I am not sure.

There is no code, it hasn't been taken care of properly I believe.

Thank you!

Regards,
Zare

SKU numbers on the inside didn't appear until early 2005, and these predate that by a few years. However, that painted flame pattern is suspect. Usually it's a print and you can see a slight half tone pattern. The curves follow a different path near the icon too. Here is mine:

The color of the frame should be silver, but I don't know if that had to do with the cameras white balance. I believe the hinge should look more like this, as they wouldn't leave the injection mold point so visible

Thank you all for your responses, after comparing this with listings online and your responses. I believe I might have bought a replica..

-The O logo should be blue just like the flames.
-The writing rubbed of which is an indication.
-You are right Dan, In person the frame turned to a different colour.

There were a few hand painted prototypes with gunmetal icons, but they were the orange fire variants, and only 7 made their way to the Irvine O Store as a proof of concept

If you are still wondering it is a fake.
