Is there a difference in the frame or lens opening between a rx version and a standard shades version? I had an old pair of 1.0 e wire that I had a rx put into and miss them. I was thinking of getting a pair of e/t/a wires again for rx use but wondered if there was a difference between the rx version and just getting an old sunglass set and having the regular tints replaced with tinted rx.

i was told the Rx version of those you mentioned typically has a slightly lower curve and was more accommodating to thicker lenses.

Thanks. Do you know if there is a good way to tell the difference between some of the silver wires and titanium? Since they will be rx there will not be lenses to be etched. I am thinking many sellers confuse titanium color with frame material "accidentally" and others may label ti frames as regular. I have seen some that have Oakley part numbers and some that don't. Any suggestions short of having the seller weigh the frames?

Depends what model you are looking at. Many of them will have “Titanium” debossed in the back of the bridge. Those that have the parts # etched, you can match it up with the OR database. Others may have “Titanium” stated on the inner earstem.some Rx that have the original demo display lenses will state “Titanium” on it. Some Rx are only made of Ti like the Overlord.
