Great review, Dann. I'd put the Spike in the gascan and frog line of things, like how things evolved from that like the jury, canteen, twitch, eyepatch and so on. Also, Would you consider the Probation an aviator since it based off the Inmate?

The inmate was larger, so I think it falls more into the Aviator line than even the Felon, but compared to the wires that came before it, and the latter ones like the Blender, it's more than the slim profile releases

I forgot to mention that the Warden's working name was Aviata. Boo, never can remember it all.

I agree with you about the deviation, best aviator frame oakley has made IMO. My top three would be deviation, inmate, Crosshair 3.0. I was sour on the Crosshair line till the last one came out

So awesome that there are more Deviations fans than I thought; I thought I was the only one who liked the frame.

I'm glad they didn't go with Aviata; it sounds like an aviator's girly cousin haha. Warden also sounds much more badass. Great review as always!

Plus it would have come off like they were just trying to copy Rayban. Like if the Frogskins were called Wayfaria or something.

Dann, is the TinCan considered an aviator?

I love the new hinge on those and wish they would put those hinges on some of the women's oversized items so the stems don't rub the lenses.

Could be. I don't know if there are any hard fast rules, but I don't have one to compare.

The Hollowpoint hinge should appear on more things.

I would not consider the tincan/tinfoil into the aviator family
