Are there different sizes for Square Wire 2.0 replacement lenses? I bought a pair of Ice Iridium lenses new in the box off ebay but can't get them to fit in my frame (Silver non-SH). The frames are circa 2002. Did the Spring Hinged ones have slightly larger lenses?

Yes, I tried to put G30 (non-SH) into my Spring Hinge around 2002-ish. Tried for an hour, and no dice. Just ever so different.

Well that sucks. It's annoying that Oakley didn't distinguish that for replacement parts.

I think they did at the time. There was even ones specifically for FMJ frames (in O Matter), since the thicker coating would prohibit the same ones from being universal.

I have a set of G30 Titanium Iridium ones and a black chrome frame. Wasn't able to put them in there no matter how hard I tried...

Fair enough. Looks like the search is back on for replacement lenses.

Has anyone tried Walleva lenses? I see they offer replacements for older frames. Are they pretty good or complete garbage?

I've noticed the different sizes for the O-Matter XX lenses. Ruined a good FMJ frame once, man I was mad. From what I've seen, the XX replacement lenses don't mention anything about FMJ or non-FMJ though.

I remember seeing the difference somewhere, but it may have been an internal document.

Dang, I didn't even notice that part of the database until now, haha. Looks like I need to find me some 06-603 vintage M Frame rubber kits now, haha.

Oh believe me, I want so badly to call Customer Service with some of these SKU's and somehow a dusty portion of the warehouse opens up, and we have mint eyeshade lenses just waiting for someone to call in with the magical code.

Well, there's a happy ending to this story. After notifying the seller that the lenses wouldn't fit my silver non-SH frames, they sent me a near-mint dark SH frame for free. I replaced the yellowed nosepads and frayed earsocks, and I now have essentially a new pair of dark/ice square wire 2.0s for about $110 out of pocket!

Not bad at all.
