I'm planning to customize two of my pairs, but I need some information before I begin. I'm hoping that some of you have had experience with either of these frames.

1) Do the icons come off or pop out of the frames? If so, how do you safely remove them without breaking the icon or the arms?
2) What is the best paint to use for O-matter frames? Do you spray the paint on or is it applied another way?
3) Does sanding/scuffing the frames help the paint stick?
4) What kind of undercoat do you apply?
