I just received my Brazil Edition Oakley Gearbox and was reading the instruction manual. In the manual, it indicates you can pull the crown out to position one to save battery life as it stops the hands from moving which saves power. The way I read it, when doing this, the watch is still keeping time. Should it reset the hands to the correct time once you place the crown back all the way in? Mine doesn't seem to do this. Just curious as to whether I am missing something in this mode or does it just stop the watch completely to save battery? Thanks for any help.

You are reading this incorrectly. When you pull the crown out it stops all movement all together. If it were to keep time while the crown was out then you wouldn't be able to change the time if you needed to. This is mainly so that when the watch is stored before it is puchased the battery life will be preserved.

Ok, I thought I may just be over complicating it, but wanted to make sure. Since it said position one, I thought maybe it meant there was a position two, however, mine appears to only have one position on the Gearbox when pulling it out. My old Minute Machine had two, but it was for chronograph functions, which the Gearbox doesn't have. Thanks for your input!

Two positions would be for changing the time and changing the date. Chronograph functions are only started/stopped/reset by the two push buttons.
