I have a pair of Mumbos that have "OAKLEY" on the top of lense in white stencil. Can anyone tell me the history of these? Same thing on ebay# 260713920169. I was told that mine was from a famous woman speed skater and they were custom for her.

When you say stencil, is the logo a decal, or has it been painted onto the lens?

judging by that ebay item, it looks likes a decal?
i didnt think they made the factory pilot lenses for the mumbo/m-frame, i thought they were limited to the eyeshades and blades system....

that ebay item looks like a home made job as the decal is a little crooked and looks too big for that lens.

but lee will know for sure.

Mine is on a splatter frame lens and it is a decal, not painted.
