Frame: Titanium Pewter
Lens: Non-Oakley Rx

The 2.0 definitely suits smaller faces. I tried 4.0 and the 6.0 and it just made me look bug-eyed. The lenses are on a slight up-swept angle, giving the wearer an aggressive / sporty look. The lines are very clean as with the other Chop Tops and the silver icons on the side just makes these glasses stand-out even more. I like having the spring-hinges (I have a pair of non-spring hinge Square Wire 2.0 and it hurts after about 3 hours). The flattened hammer-like ear stems are a great touch because that's where I usually hold the glasses when putting them on or taking them off. I did not get Oakley Rx lenses because it would have cost a fortune. Rather, I got normal lenses for $95 Canadian and they seem fine. However, there are small imperfections where the lenses meet the frame if I look closely. The cost is a bit steep but its worth it for the frame material and quality of construction. Everything is solid and feels industructible. Other non-Oakley glasses I have feel like I could snap them in half. Nothing rattles, nothing is loose. I give the Chop Top 2.0 a 5 because it looks great and most important, for its clean lines. Simple, elegant, aggressive.

I had wanted RX frames for ages and when the time came, I was first looking at the Offline but one I tried on the Choptops i was hooked. They Suit my face and are light- thankyou titanium. The polished brown makes up look classy and the spring loaded hinges a perfect fit. Overall an Rx frame well worth consideration.
retails at $345 Australian.

the moment i saw this on the oakley site i had to buy it...the 2.0 fits my face perfectly...although they are a bit pricey the titanium justifies it...incredibly light and comfortable...i wonder if these are the x metals of RX? hehe the ear stems are a little similar to penny...and the spring hinge just makes it even better

Frame: Titanium Pewter

Just bought a Chop Top 2.0 from a local Optical store in the Philippines. They say it's the latest model in stock (nov 2004). Anyway, i didn't care cuz it looked and feel really good on me (i have a small asian face) compared to the ther RX frames like Straight Line and Box Spring.

Titanium cost a lot more than the non-titanium frames. If you want a comfortable frame then i recommend the titanium. They are amazingly comfortable. Plus the spring hinges are nice.

Price here is around 256$ us frame only. Generic Polycarbonate clear lens they made for me is around 45$ us.

Style wise i find it a bit on the conservative side. When the frame is viewed from the side it looks quite thin and not too exciting. Looks cool when viewed from above. The photo here and from the website don't do it justice.

Id give it 5 stars it it wasn't so Expensive:)

Had the chance to try these on when i went to a well known local optic store to fix the nosepiece sitting for my square wire sunglasses. then i tried many kind of Oakley's Rx frames, and Chop Top was the last one.

it fits really nicely on me with the 2.0 size, bigger face might try 4.0 or 6.0. the material is titanium, very lightweight and durable, the design is quite simple but still look oakley to it. the whole finish however, stands out with the highest quality build amongst other Rx frames(IMHO).
about the design, i like it especially on the hinges, where there are flat areas you so you can grab the hinges easily with your fingers, and look really cool too from the upper/lower front. this can also be found in the straight line frames, but they aren't titanium, thus heavier and won't be as comfortable in prolonged wear.

for you who's looking for an oakley prescription frame with actual frames on it(not those rimless/frameless ones like titanium O3), i highly recommend you to (at least)check out these chop top. also, the optician told me it's a 2004 model.

it's quite pricey for around US$265 here, and retails at $240 in the US(found one on ebay that goes for $200). but these chop tops have those xmetal-like quality(when you see em, you'll know what i mean). since my -100/-150 eyes are too low for contacts, i'm planning to get one of these from US later on december(a friend coming back), probably off ebay.
