Incredible! Sunglasses that actually fit properly! I don't normally bother to write reviews, but all the reviews on this site helped me pick my sunglasses, so I thought I'd contribute.

Regular sunglasses, and eyeglasses for that matter, usually slide down my nose, and/or sit too close to my face due to the common Asian nosebridge issue. So when I heard about Oakley's "Asian fit" sunglasses, I knew I had to give them a try.

Tried the regular half jackets in a store -- the fit was not terrible actually, but not 100%. I decided to just go for it and ordered a custom pair of the "Asian fit" version. They were expensive, but worth the money if you want something really nice. And it was such a good feeling to have a pair of sunglasses that fits so well and so comfortably. (Would recommend the customization route so long as you're sure you won't need to return the sunglasses -- it is not much more expensive, and you get to pick out the frame color, the lens color, the "ear socks" color, etc., so you get exactly what you want).

According to the Oakley rep I spoke with at the time I ordered, and in light of my own observations, the Asian fit version of these sungalsses are not at all different from the regular version, except in one key respect: the nosebridge is slightly different -- narrower, I believe, and larger "nosebombs" are provided. The large nosebombs do the trick quite nicely.

Also, the titanium iridium lenses are great -- reflective, although not 100% so, and a very nice, subtle bronze color. I bought these for biking, running, and going to the beach when it is quite sunny, and they should be perfect. Can't wait for it to get sunny again so I can wear them.

The Asian fit versions are indeed different, but only subtly so that it's difficult to tell without taking measurements. In fact the lens from the Traditional Fit will not go into Asian Fit frames (I've tried). Don't let your optometrist tell you otherwise because most don't know, but all the Asian Fit frames have slightly narrower nose bridges, slightly less curved frames and larger nose pads.

Does anyone here know what the typical time frame is as to when the Asian Fit versions come out after a new Traditional Fit version is released?

Thanks,
Joe

My first pair of Oakleys, after search and try various others models like gascan, minute, i buy this one,it´s so comfortable, fit so well and also very lightweight, that sometimes i just don´t feel them on my face, the extra pair of nosebombs do the job, i try both and the big ones fit better to me.

The design reminds me other 2 models, the Mframe and twenty, don´t know why, but that era (2001-2005) was for me one of the best in terms of design and creativity, today Oakley still the best, and will never be different.

The lenses (black iridium)are so strong, providing a great protection, but the only negative point is that lenses are not so effective in low light conditions.

I love these glasses and I love the variety of different lenses you can choose from. These are my first pairs of Oakley's, and definitely not my last.

the half jacket frame is very light and durable, i have at one instance placed it in my pants pocket and accidentally bumped on a table. i was surprised to see that the frame was unscathed although the lens came off. re-installing and removing the lens was just a breeze. the asian fit is really great for people with small nose bridges (like me), the main difference when wearing an asian fit and the standard fit is that you will feel the the glasses hang on to your nose bridge and not on your cheeks (if you've tried the standard fit).
the polarized ice iridium lens looks great. it looks as if it's a black lens but if your under the sun the blue tone is visible (but not visible to the wearer). the polarized lenses really performed very well in reducing the glare (here in the blistering sun of the saudi arabian desert).
