Comparable to black iridium with the added benefit of polarization. Good reflectivity on the outside due to the iridium coating. Good tint while not changing color perception when looking through the lens. If polarization is a needed or preffered option then these are great lenses.

I have had experience with a number of Oakley lenses. in Iraq I had half jackets with grey transition, gold iridium polarized. I also had a set of fire iridium polarized and regular black non polarized. I now have a pair of Flak jackets with positive red iridium non polarized. If you are in harsh environments yes the films are going to break down faster because you are getting sand blasted in the fast. If that's not the case then you are either not caring for your lenses properly or using an off brand cleaner. Do not use the stuff from lensecrafters it will I repeat it will mess up your lenses. There are slightly harsher chemicals in it that will break down the lense coatings on sunglasses. Use Oakley lense cleaner. Finally, yes these are good lenses take care of them and they will last a long time, just like anything else.

Have these in fast jacket. Great on very bright days, but maybe a little too dark sometimes and have to take them off especially when driving, becomes overcast, and I can't see the speedo. Also prefer something with a red/amber base so have bought some replacement lenses in 00 Black Irid Polar.

The perfect lens for very bright days. The polarization does add some wired effects to LCD screens and windscreens but I got used to it rather quickly. And it does remove a lot of glare while driving.
no thanks. -
mehhh. not my cup of tea. too much variations in color and shades. car windows all have the rainbow effect. digital displays also have rainbow effect. oils slicks look...different. I only noticed a slight improvement in glare reduction. not worth the extra money. imo. haven't tried them with water but i don't need to. scratches super easily. they're awesome when your outside. but i'll stick with black iridium.
