I was really disappointed when I first got this lens. I was expecting a sunglass-spec Black Iridium. I understand that the persimmon base adds contrast, which is better for snow, but I had unrealistic expectations. Otherwise, it performs just as it should: blocks light while increases visual acuity in snow.

Persimmon base is a really good contrast enhancer, and the black Iridium is perfect for very bright light condition, But only for this. I would not tell that this is good for medium light.

The Iridium treatment gives a good mirror aspect.

I give it 4 skulls as this lens is not an all condition one but do a great job in Bright light.
