Have two pairs of these. One colour is Sand the other is white/navy.
Wore the Sand colour ones for many years cause they were very very comfy. Has a suede outer style leather, not easy to clean. Only downfall was the internal liner, piled from socks and holed quickly. Still one of the best shoes I've owned.
Got the white/navy colour in 2011 to relive the memories. Sorta does but these being full leather, not the same. Oakley hit the spot with these, I wasn't able to buy more!
Best shoe i've ever had. Wore them non stop for 6 years and still going. The inside is worn out but still doesn't stop me wearing them out!
One of Oakleys best lifestyle shoe made.... comfortable, looks killer and reasonable price.... especially if you get them at the vault...
Pro: Breathable with lots of perforations. Built tough.
Con: Inner liner behind the ankle pills very easily.
I only bought these shoes because I wanted something that wasn't brown. I have a lot of brown shoes and wanted something different from the Brown/Khaki Radars that I'd bought last summer. The Radars are a little bit more comfortable but these are a lot more breathable. There are perforations in the leather everywhere.
I spent several weeks working in Beijing, China this year and these were the shoes I brought with me. When I arrived, it was around 30 degrees Fahrenheit and by the time I left, it was approaching the 80s. It was cold, but there's enough foam that I didn't get frostbite. In the heat, they're pretty nice because of all the perforation. I climbed the Great Wall in these shoes in the middle of February and they performed admirably. They've proven to me that they're quite durable.
My only beef is with the material used to line the inside. They pill up very easily and you build up lots and lots of lint in the shoe and on your socks. It's a very high-friction material. That's the only thing keeping them from getting a 5th skull. But then, if I gave these a 5, I'd need a way to give my Radars a 6 or 7.
Good lifestyle shoe out of the box.
High quality materials! With almost daily wear, the leather in the toecap did not crease until a month later. However after about 2 months, and about 30+ wears, arches in both of my feet became very sore everytime I wore them. Due to a high arch, I had to insert arch inserts into the sockliner. Once I put those in, I was good to go again.
i have the brown/sand. Attractive looking design, really light, and comfortably, they have a good grip on the ground
