Through process of elimination.
_Red accents usually mean Ducati or Ferrari
_In one of the pictures the ear stem appears to have a traditional spring hinge. Not something you typically see with an Oakley frame. Maybe RX.
_The front shape doesn't look like modern Oakley shapes. Not squared off enough.
_The lenses don't appear to have a coating, but it could be the picture hiding say black iridium.
_Did we determine the frame material? Plastic, metal, wire?
_An accent around the hinge narrows it down somewhat.

Do they look like any of these.

No. The last picture is closest though. And no the lenses didn't have any coating that I could tell.

That last pic Brad provided really seems to show the hinge best, looks just like a basic metal hinge, not either of the new versions you posted, Oak. I'm just not sure how many wire frames that might have looked like that used that hinge. Most of the examples I looked up in the database have a more incorporated hinge.

I love a good "ID these glasses" question, as we are usually on point within seconds to help out. Between the challenging photos and description (for me, particularly the hinge and "Oakley" spelled out on the earstems instead of just the 'o' icon); I think it's telling we are still a bit stumped. If it was a standard release, I'm pretty sure we would have the answer by now. My personal 2 cents seem to lean towards an odd MPH prescription frame that I'm not familiar with; or considering the potential for it to be a fake/replica of some sort?? Not sure how reputable the malls in Bahrain are. But I will hold out hope we can nail it down for you. - oogie

That's my fear. More than 20 years ago I bought some FOakleys (fake Oakleys) in Mexico and those quickly fell apart. But these glasses lasted two years and while I didn't deliberately abuse them, they were well used and never showed a sign of slowing down. That's the only reason I don't think they were fake.

That it was an indoor mall and shop instead of outside street vendor led me to think it was legit. But I don't know how reputable they are either.

More like the second picture, but not quite.

No rubber nose pieces. And I think I remember most of the arms felt like they were coated.

The frames were slightly thicker and more... angular?

Also, the arms hinged pretty much at the frame edge, as opposed to what looks like a small extension. As asked above, I'm sure the logo was the whole word and was along the arm.

Does "flex/spring hinge" mean the arms can bend outwards? If so, yes.

There was frame all the way around the lenses. Based upon the weight, I'd say metal.

Should I remove these pictures and try to post more zoomed crops? When I zoom, they get grainy kind of quickly.

I bought these in Bahrain in the summer of 2014. They were my first pair of Oakleys and they rocked! Unfortunately, they fell off the top of my head as I was boarding a ride at Busch Gardens last summer. They were safely inside a covered ride, but inaccessible to all except maintenance personnel. I spent the next nine months emailing and calling their Customer Service and Lost and Found folks only to be told last week that all paperwork from 2016 was closed out. If I hadn't heard from them, tough cookies. So some lucky maintenance worker found my glasses and kept them.

I spent several hours combing through the Database, looking for a match. I was not able to find one. Is the Database all inclusive?

I've attached some pictures, these are all I could find of myself wearing the glasses. I do not have any of the glasses all by themselves.

They were substantial frames - they were not featherweights. The lenses were polarized. The arms were straight, mostly black, with some red accents around the hinges. I bought them in 2014 at a mall in Manama, Bahrain. Since it's overseas I don't know if this style/family was new in 2014 or years older.

I'm a Navy helicopter pilot, relatively new to Oakleys and, for that matter, regularly wearing sunglasses. I find I really like Oakley glasses.

I joined to seek help in figuring out a model/family of sunglasses. The Oakley Customer Care email wasn't terribly helpful, except sharing the link to the database and this forum. I made a separate thread in the Research board.
