Sorry if this should have gone in the official stupid question thread. Mods can move this if it's inappropriately placed.

I have a question about violet iridium. I've seen pictures of it in frogskins, and it has a very purple look to it. I also see it listed as being in the conduct , where it has a purple/blue/green kind of look to it. It looks similar to the ones I've seen in the Riddle frame. And finally, there's a violet iridium (listed on ebay, so , maybe fake? maybe not iridium?) which looks very purple, but also without the iridium, so I'm thinking that it's a mislisting.

Are the other 3 the same lens? Just varying like fire and ruby do? Or are they actually different lens bases and tints?

I own both the Frogskins and the Conduct with Violet Iridium and to me they look the same in both pairs, the base tint as well as the iridium. I think the main diference is the curvature of the lens. I think that gives an extra set of colors to the Conducts lens.

Agreed, the Frogs both old and new have a flatter curve so they don't vary as much. The conduct being a shield will produce a wider range of hues.

Not to be confused with the Violet lens which is a base only and is tinted purple.
