Can anyone tell me if there was ever a Matte Black/Grey version of the New Straight Jacket?

I found one on ebay, however I'm not sure if it is an accurate description. The only one I can find on the database here on O-Review is Stealth/Grey and the SI Matte Black/Grey. It does not appear to be the SI version, due to the fact that it has Oakley on the nose bridge.

Does the Stealth finish have a matte look to it.

Just curious.

But to answer your question, I'm not sure if they were originally made but my store received a bunch of them and on the box they are labeled as "oakley classics." They are only $59 plus tax so that guy's starting bid is $20 higher than he paid. I have plenty of those in stock if you want one, both matte black and crystal black.



Also the stealth frame color is like cinder red, but grey in color.

Yea, be careful on eBay when it comes to the old "New" Straight Jacket and the original minute. The have been put back out as Vault exclusives at low price. A lost of scalpers will be out to take advantage.

I think the SI versions also have gunmetal icons as the police, military, and all have requirements about reflective surfaces and shiny chrome type things.

That's correct and before the SI program, the icons had to be filled in with Sharpies.

From what I gather from checking out some of the local vaults is, there are minutes, XXs and maybe Old Str8 Jackets that are being made spcifically vaults.

Yeah I figured that was the case. It sucks, there are no O-store, vaults or anything good like that around here.

I have plenty of stock in all those vault exclusives at my store including the (matte) black/grey new straight jacket so if no one can get to a vault, feel free to pm and I'd be happy to help out.

Someone pm me about the old straight jacket design. I have found a Straight Jacket matte clear Black iridium lens one in a microbag in a packing box from 2002.
