Stance on eBay links
Please refrain from posting eBay auctions. We all know how to search eBay, and this usually just ends up blowing the cover off an auction that someone has already been watching. The only exceptions are for the purpose of identification or blatant fakes, which should then be posted to the Fakes on Ebay thread.
Disclosure of pre-release products
A few of the members here are lucky to be privy of future releases or having advance pictures of products to come.
Please send Dann a PM when you are not sure about info that has not been released yet. Just to be safe on the legal side of things.
Guidelines for reviews
In general:
-Don't post in ALL CAPS, or in some HaCkEr or 1337 5p34k.
-Don't needlessly bash other brands aside from genuine quality comparisons.
-Site suggestions should be e-mailed using the Contact button on the menu rather than in a review.
-Keep the reviews PG rated, since this is an all ages site.
-Blatantly stupid/useless reviews will simply be taken off.
-Reviews can only be changed if you are currently logged on. Your login status will appear next to the Username field. Do ensure that you are logged in, since the name may be filled in via a Cookie, but the session may not be active.
-Make sure its a review and not a comment; "I like it, the best in the world!" or "Wow, cant wait to get another one" does not say much about an item, it just shows how much you appreciate something.
-Please wait until you own an item to review it, it will make much more of a complete review than just a comment on how it looks before it gets released or before you own it.
-Its better to make 3-4 reviews at a time that are real informative than 10 that don't say much about the item.
-New reviews are checked everyday at this point, if your review was deleted, you can always send me a PM, but the ones deleted are for the reasons mentioned above.
Guidelines for forum posting
I hate rules, but here are a few that have been working over the years:
-No flamewars - take it to a private message
-No threads asking what something is worth
-Don't follow up a post by asking if the member will sell
-Try to keep posts to a preexisting appropriate thread such as:
New items (on the Oakley Website)

New items (elsewhere)

-And above all remember that Karma rules around here. What you give is what you get. The community is always willing to help out another, but those with self-interest in mind usually lose out.
