up untill now , i always took high speed shots in JPEG , but recently somebody suggested that i should use RAW.
My camera has both so switching should be easy , but has anybody experienced the difference ? i don't wanna make a bunch of pics in RAW , only not be able to alter them to my likings.

RAW captures with no compression. Ideal for not compromising quality, however it takes up a lot more space. You also can't do anything with the pictures until you convert them with photoshop or whatever. If you have more than 2 mpixel, for most purposes it's fine to shoot in JPG. Especially at the high settings. Since most people downsize to a web ready format anyway, you wouldn't even see the difference.

yeah, JPG should be just fine. Shooting raw at that size would leave you only room for a few pictures.

Jpeg's just fine for ordinary photos. I always shoot in highest quality jpeg.

I use a 1GB Lexar Professional Compact Flashcard in a Nikon D70s and it's mighty quick.
Settings are for jpeg normal (fine when I need the print to be blown up) / size 3000 x 2000 and give excelent printing quality at a professional lab. (www.deafdruk.nl)
