Was just wondering if anyone out there has tried self-customising a Spike yet?? Like changing the lenses between the frames....Any tips or ways on how to switch the lenses??

I like the brown gradient lenses alot....but sadly i am not able to pull off the black Chrome frame at all....Looks too bling on my Pale asian face....would much prefer to have it in the Matte black frame....I am currently on a craze with the understated matte black look....:)

But after examining the Spike frame i have no idea how to get the lenses out...i was told by a salesman, that it could be popped out like those in any O matter frame but somehow i don't really trust him...since its a metal frame we are talking about here and i have read some horror stoires of the Xhair being bent out of shape and thus useless....

Thanks for the help.......:)

Alright, so I was checking them out....and they do seem to have been put in there like O-matter frames/lenses. Theres no screws like Hatchets or Juliets and the like...but Id be really scared to switch them out. Its worth a shot though. Tell us how it goes.

Yeah thats what i thought though.
I would wait for my matte black 1s to arrive first before attempting to switch out the lenese...i would update once that have been done..

I have just received my Matte Black Spike but the thought of me experimenting on a Brand new pair of sunnies really puts me off any attempts....do not wish to send the pair straight back to Warranty after it just arrived!!

Any more suggesions / help on how to switch the lenses between the Spike frame??

Ok I popped one out today just like you would an O-matter frame. It was hard to get back in, but it works the same as an O-matter frame. It is not something I would recommend doing on a regular basis, it was not easy getting it back in.

Did the same experiment yesterday, and my findings are pretty much the same as Defender's. Go ahead and do it, but I wouldn't do it often.
