Ooops, sorry about that above. Anyways...I was wondering what you guys thought about Valves...more than what the reviews say. Are they worth it? Any problems you guys have had? Anything particulary sweet or anything I should know? Thanks.

i own 2 valves myself , the fmj fire and the dark grey grey valve.

For the dark grey/grey valve , the icon peels off too easily.

For the fmj/fire valve , it really sucks .
I used it for the first time since coming back from the oakley service center and the most of frame paint came off .!

of course it's cheap , hence the cheapo quality.

i would say that , it's styling is very unique and cool and it will earn you stares from ladies.

however , this isn't a pair which can last long like juliet.
Good luck

my kid brother has a pair of those and they seem typical oakley: stylish, functional, durable. and those metal accents look really cool can't really go wrong with them.

Valves are awesome! There is one thing tho...I noticed that the Platinum FMJ/Gold Irid.Lens fits tight compared to the other colors.

And I also agree about the Silver/Fire combo, they are terrible I sold that soon after I got it (i kinda regretted that coz its hard to come by).The Black and silver are too plain IMHO.

If you are going to get one I recommend the Ducati,Montoya or the Bronze/Titanium.

I have the Bronze/Ti and can't say much besides what's in my review. That's the best colourway, IMO, but I also think the Grey and Black colourways are nice; I'm not a big fan of the silver frames. The sigs are pretty good. The Valve is a very nice Jacket (comparing it w/Wires or X-Metal is apples and oranges), though I think they are better suited to smaller heads. I prefer its look to the XX, to be honest.

The sharp edges on the orbitals are prime for loosing paint. My brother's silver pair started showing the black underlayer soon after buying them. They're a bit thick, but not a bad pair to own since the price point is fairly low (for a Jacket-class pair)

I got my pair(Platinum/Gold) purely for the styling. The frowning brows are nice as are the metal icon accents on the temples.. Roger may be onto something with the tight fit though I'm not sure it's specific to the Platinum/Gold version, might be interesting to find out. Anyone got a few pairs and can test the theory?

Overall a good choice for a pair of jackets, though make sure the fit works for you first.
