I ordered a pair of ice polarized gascans from sunglass hut online, when they arrived I noticed they were terribly squeaky when unfolding, placing them on, and removing them. Took them back to the store and found all the ice polarized gascans in the store had the same problem, but none of the black or jade polarized were squeaky. The salesman at the store tried to solve the issue by swapping my lenses with the lenses in a black polarized frame. This resulted in the lenses popping out every time I put them on my head. Finally I've resolved to just having a squeaky pair of oakleys, but I am very unhappy about it. Can nothing be done?

I fear Quality Control may have been napping for that batch of Gascans.
I've a pair of Straight Jackets that squeak when opened, but so long as they don't squeak on my face, it's no problem...

It's not a quality issue. I have a ton of matte black frames and this happens from time to time. It's the matte finish on the arm and face rubbing against each other. Spray lens cleaner in the corners of the hinges and open/ close the arm a couple of times. It's like WD-40 for glasses.

This. Take off the stem, wipe it out or just blow in it, snap it back on problem should be gone.

Did he put them back in backwards? Or maybe just didn't get them back in all the way?
