I got an O wire prescription frame but the left frame has come unhinged - the part where the screw goes in that holds the frame together . Basically an equivalent would be the bottom screws in the Juliet frame that you have to remove to put in new lenses. So if anybody knows what screws go into the O Wire frame - the size/name etc please let me know. I already called up Oakley customer service - they told me they cannot divulge any information about screws over the phone - which is funny but they were serious. But I need to know so if anybody knows - any Oakley employees or O Wire frame owners - please let me know. Because I need to replace the screw. I cannot take the frame back to a dealer because I bought it from Ebay so you guys are my only hope. SAVE ME!
Ahem - Thank you
Tre

Any optometrist should be able to help, Try to find an optometrist who has a relationship with oakley. If you take it to a o store they should be able to help regardless of where you got them

Take your other one out and go to a hardware store (long shot) or look online and try to find one. Couldn't you just order one from Oakley? I am not sure, but I wouldn't think Oakley makes their own screws. If that's true then they are out there somewhere. Start calling manufacturers of screws. just doing a quick google search I found this..

http://www.barnhillbolt.com/acb26/ShowOptions.cfm?&DID=7&User_ID=1413225&st=9443&st2=-75990476&st3=-36995512&CATID=69&ObjectGroup_ID=934&GroupCode=484&MenuCode=471&GroupIcon=484desc%2Egif

or here

http://www.aaronstorxscrews.com/MachineScrews.htm and looking at the last picture it's close. I would need the specifics of that screw. Or you might take it to a tool and die shop, they could help too, look in your yellow pages for that.

Best I could do off the top of my head at 2am. if none of those options help, let me know. I could stop by an o-store (or anyone else for that matter) and maybe get a spare...

can you post a picture of the screw, or is it exactly like the juliet screw?

I just checked my O wire and it's nothing similar to the Juliet screws. The O wire is a philips screw head and is smaller than the Juliet.

try an optical store that carries Oakley RX frames, there's a few in Manhattan. i'm sure any optical store would have a generic screw that would fit.

http://oakley.com/locator/mqlocator?screen=find&link=results&linktype=results&smap=map&queryUseOrigin=1&queryCenterOrigin=1&queryMax=50&searchtype=origin&queryItCol=account_name&icontitles=yes&queryOrder=is_opd+desc&closestn=50&sqlOrderIcon=1&style=1&streetaddress=&city=&state=&zip=10018&country=US&criteria=has_rx&sqlcol1=has_rx&sqlcond1=%3D&sqlval1=1&SQLWHERE=has_rx%3D1&queryRadiusKM=16

here's Oakley's store locator for optical stores. hope this helps.
